Colombian boy, 13, with IQ of 160 continues to amaze the world

Miguel Ángel Rojas Palacios, now 13, first captured global attention at the tender age of five when specialists confirmed his IQ of 160, placing him among individuals with the highest recorded intelligence.

Born in La Ceja, Antioquia, his advanced cognitive abilities were evident early on. By just one year old, he recognized the alphabet in both Spanish and English. Soon after, he began reading and writing independently, skills typically acquired much later.

His mother, Alba Palacios, expressed concern and a sense of responsibility for his vast knowledge, stating, "We worry about all the knowledge he has in his little head." The family, along with educators and health professionals, noted his unusually rapid information processing.

Beyond his early literacy, Miguel Ángel displayed remarkable linguistic talents, becoming fluent in English and self-teaching Russian and Arabic. His childhood curiosity extended to complex subjects like astronomy and human anatomy, where he could accurately identify celestial bodies and explain bodily functions at a young age.

His father, Oscar Iván, described him as "the pride of the family and a very big responsibility for education and everything that entails." This exceptional intellect has solidified his public image as a child with truly extraordinary intellectual aptitudes.
