Colombian Man Dies After Head Injury in Guadalajara Brawl

A Colombian national has died in Guadalajara, Mexico, following a group fight that erupted early Thursday morning in the city's American Colony bar district. Municipal police officers encountered the brawl around 4:00 AM near López Cotilla and Progreso streets and attempted to disperse the crowd. When the group scattered, two injured individuals remained, one of whom was lying on the ground. Paramedics confirmed the death of the man on the pavement, who had sustained a blow to the head. A stone, believed to be the weapon used, was found next to the body. The second injured man, who suffered a blow to the forehead, was transported for medical treatment. According to the injured man's statements, both he and the deceased were originally from Colombia but had been living in Tlajomulco for seven years.
