Kathmandu – Nepali comedian Khem Sharma, widely recognized by his stage name ‘Chature,’ has passed away in the United States. Sharma died Friday morning at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore while undergoing treatment.

Manish Sharma, an artist and model present at the hospital, confirmed the comedian's death. Sharma had been admitted to Towson Hospital on Wednesday due to health complications before being transferred to Franklin Square Hospital.

Actor Shivahari Paudyal, a colleague of Sharma in several television serials, also confirmed the news, expressing his grief on Facebook over the loss of a close friend. Sharma had been residing in the United States with his family for many years.
