Como stun Napoli at the Maradona as Inter, Milan, Juventus and Lazio lead the table

Como delivered the first major jolt of the Italian league season by beating Napoli 2-1 at the Maradona. Cesc Fàbregas' team recovered from its opening draw with Udinese and returned to the leading group with a victory built on collective play rather than individual stardom.

Como took control early. Assane Diao created problems for Mathías Olivera before finding Martin Baturina, who had enough space to place the ball into the corner in the 17th minute. Napoli answered through Rasmus Højlund, who carried the ball past Ramon and finished with a superb diagonal shot.

The visitors continued to dictate the rhythm, pressing Napoli's defenders and forcing the mistake that decided the match. Errors by Amir Rrahmani, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and the defense allowed Anastasios Douvikas to restore Como's lead. Napoli introduced Leonardo Spinazzola, Allan and Kevin De Bruyne after halftime, but could not find a way through the midfield screen formed by Lucas Da Cunha and Mërgim Mavraj.

A late goal by Stanislav Lobotka was ruled out for offside against Lorenzo Lucca. The result left Napoli frustrated and offered an early warning to teams chasing the title: Como's disciplined system has already proved capable of containing one of the league's most talented squads.

Inter, Milan, Juventus and Lazio also opened the season with two wins. Inter needed Çalhanoğlu's goal to beat Cagliari, while Frattesi scored for Lazio against Genoa in front of a sparse Olympic Stadium during a supporters' protest. Milan beat Venezia and celebrated Gonçalo Ramos' first goal, while Juventus won without fully convincing.
