Congratulations! Mari-Leen Kaselaan and Aleksander Ots are engaged

Estonian singer Mari-Leen Kaselaan, known for her 2006 hit "Rahutu Tuhkatriinu," and actor Aleksander Ots have announced their engagement. The couple, aged 38 and 43 respectively, revealed the news to Kroonika, with Kaselaan stating, "We have kept this very secret until now."

Their relationship began in October 2024, and they felt an immediate connection. The pair are also set to collaborate musically, performing together under the band name Mari-Leen & Sass starting in December 2025.

Kaselaan, who previously took a break from her music career, had spoken in past interviews about her other interests. In a 2022 interview with Postimees Digiajakirjad, she mentioned her extensive involvement with horses, including teaching children to ride and breeding them. "I'm a bit tired of horses now," she had said at the time, indicating a shift in her focus.

More recently, in a December 2025 interview with Elu24, Kaselaan described her life as "interesting – busy and active," suggesting a fulfilling period both personally and professionally.
