Consultancy services pact inked for fish industries city project in South Al Sharqiyah

Oman's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has signed an agreement for consultancy services related to the design and supervision of the Fish Industries City project in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. The total value of the agreement is OMR1,637,000.

The agreement was formalized by Eng. Yaqub Khalfan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Fisheries, and Ali Mohammad Al Mashali, CEO of Khatt Al Toul Engineering Consultancy. The consultancy firm will undertake all specialized technical studies and prepare engineering designs. These efforts aim to ensure the project's implementation adheres to the highest standards of quality and operational efficiency.

The Fish Industries City project is identified as a strategic and vital initiative for the Sultanate of Oman. Its primary objective is to enhance the infrastructure supporting the growth of the fisheries industry. Furthermore, the project seeks to increase the sector's added value, aligning with the broader goals of Oman Vision 2040. This national vision emphasizes diversifying sources of national income and promoting development across the governorates.
