Content creator and daughter arrested in Alexandria for indecent videos

Authorities in Alexandria, Egypt, have apprehended a social media influencer and her daughter, accusing them of disseminating content that violates public decency and societal norms. The arrests followed monitoring by the General Department for the Protection of Morals, which identified videos posted on the women's social media pages.

The Interior Ministry stated that the content included "indecent" food consumption and the use of "offensive language." Following legal procedures, the two women were detained in the Dakhila police station area. Investigators found evidence on their mobile phones confirming their alleged activities.

During questioning, the mother and daughter reportedly confessed to posting the videos with the explicit goal of boosting viewership and financial profits. Legal actions have been initiated, and the case has been referred to the competent prosecution authorities for further investigation.
