Çorum FK leads Süper Lig transfer charts as summer window closes

Çorum FK entered the Turkish Süper Lig with a squad overhaul on a scale unmatched by any other club. The newly promoted side made 21 signings before the summer transfer window closed, while more than 20 players also left.

The 75-day registration period ran from June 22 to Sept. 4. Across the 18 clubs, teams registered 202 new players, with 123 arriving from foreign clubs or leagues and 79 moving between Turkish teams. The winter window will run from Jan. 1 to Feb. 5, 2027.

Çorum’s arrivals included Turkish internationals Cengiz Ünder, Çağlar Söyüncü and Berat Özdemir, as well as foreign players such as Mohamed Diomande, Youssoufa Moukoko, Alexandre Penetra, Hrvoje Smolčić, Ylber Ramadani and Marcos Felipe. The club used permanent transfers, loans and free-agent deals to build a squad for top-flight football.

Amed Sportif Faaliyetler, another promoted club, followed with 18 additions. Eyüpspor made 15, Gaziantep FK 14, and Kasımpaşa and Kocaelispor 13 each. Erzurumspor FK and Trabzonspor signed 12 players apiece.

The league’s biggest traditional clubs were more selective. Beşiktaş, Çaykur Rizespor, Konyaspor and Samsunspor each made 10 additions, while Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe made five each. Galatasaray nevertheless attracted attention by signing Portugal international Rafael Leão from AC Milan in a deal reported at about €38 million.
