Costa Rica: Union of Local Governments working on homelessness plan since June

Gabriela Jiménez, president of the Union of Local Governments (UNGL) and mayor of San Ramón, has asserted that an inter-institutional strategy to address the issue of people experiencing homelessness has been in development since June. This statement follows a call from San José Mayor Diego Miranda for Laura Fernández to intervene in the growing problem.

Jiménez confirmed that the UNGL, in collaboration with government institutions, is actively working on a comprehensive plan.
