Côte d'Ivoire Praises Relations with Morocco

In a significant affirmation of the robust ties between Côte d'Ivoire and Morocco, Adama Bictogo, President of the National Assembly of Côte d'Ivoire, lauded the relationship as a model for successful African partnership. Speaking in Istanbul on the sidelines of the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Bictogo emphasized that the strong connection between the two nations is rooted in deep historical and fraternal bonds.

During a bilateral meeting with Mohamed Ould El-Khelifa, President of the Moroccan House of Councillors, Bictogo commended the exceptional quality of relations, which have been fortified over years of collaboration and coordination. He specifically praised the unprecedented level of economic cooperation, noting that Morocco stands as the top foreign investor in Côte d'Ivoire. The dynamic performance of Moroccan companies operating in Côte d'Ivoire, contributing significantly to strategic sectors such as infrastructure, banking, and energy, was also highlighted as a key driver of economic development in the country.
