CPBL: Magic Blue's worst start of season possibly affected by rain delays, says coach

Fubon Guardians pitcher "Magic Blue" delivered his poorest performance of the season on Saturday, surrendering six runs in just 2.2 innings against the TSG Eagles. This outing marked his shortest and most costly start of the year.

Pitching coach Hsu Ming-chieh acknowledged that such difficult starts are part of a pitcher's career. He suggested that recent rain delays, which disrupted Magic Blue's previous starting schedule, might have impacted his rhythm and preparation. Hsu emphasized that the pitcher has delivered many quality starts this season and the team does not hold this single poor performance against him.

Magic Blue had a streak of seven consecutive starts pitching at least six innings before Saturday's game. His last start that didn't exceed three innings and resulted in six runs allowed was on April 9th of last year. The team has discussed the reasons for Saturday's struggles with the pitcher and expects him to make the necessary adjustments before his next scheduled start.
