Cristina Kirchner supporters rally on anniversary of Nestor Kirchner's inauguration

Supporters of former Argentine President Cristina Kirchner gathered outside her Buenos Aires residence on Monday, marking the 23rd anniversary of Nestor Kirchner's presidential inauguration. The demonstration, organized by the La Cámpora group, saw activists place flags near Kirchner's apartment, where she is serving a six-year prison sentence for fraud.

Kirchner, who is under house arrest, appeared on her balcony to greet the crowd and sing the national anthem. The event featured music, speeches, and hot chocolate, creating a festive atmosphere for attendees including neighbors, activists, and families. La Cámpora announced plans for another rally on June 20, Flag Day, in Parque Lezama, continuing their campaign for Kirchner's release.

"Imprisoning her and extorting the current president will not serve you, Macri," he stated.

The "Camporismo" movement also expressed their demand for Kirchner's freedom through graffiti in Buenos Aires' suburbs. Slogans like "We want Cristina" appeared on walls, including along the General Paz highway. The group aims to continue their campaign for Kirchner's release, highlighting the ongoing political tensions surrounding the former president.
