The Film Critics Society of Nepal (FICSON) has finalized the date for its prestigious Critics Film Awards, setting Saturday, June 20, as the day for the ceremony. In a press release issued on Wednesday, FICSON announced that the awards for the years 2081 and 2082 BS (Nepali calendar years) will be presented together on the same occasion.

The winners for the Critics Film Awards 2081 include Min Bahadur Bham for Best Director (Shambhala), Dayahang Rai for Best Actor (Gaun Aayeko Bato / A Road to a Village), and Thinley Lhamo for Best Actress (Shambhala). Sarishma Khatri and Siddhartha Pudasaini received Best Screenplay/Writing for Sano Sansar, Alok Shukla won for Best Cinematography (Aakha), and J. Him Lee and Alex Gurvits were awarded for Best Editing (Rajagunj). Kishor Acharya was recognized for Best Sound Design (Gaun Aayeko Bato / A Road to a Village).

For the Critics Film Awards 2082, the winners are: Best Film: Unko Sweater; Best Director: Nabin Chauhan (Unko Sweater); Best Actor: Hari Bansha Acharya (Bhuthan); Best Actress: Anna Sharma (Rammita Koo Pirati); Best Screenplay: Nabin Chauhan and Suraj Katuwal (Unko Sweater); Best Cinematography: Susan Prajapati (Bhuthan); Best Editing: Anjay Khadka (Bhuthan); and Best Background Score: Kovid Bazra (Unko Sweater).
