Croatia's National Football Camp Takes Shape in Velika Gorica, Visited by National Team

Velika Gorica is set to become the heart of Croatian football with the ongoing construction of the National Football Camp. This ambitious project, described as the largest in the history of Croatian football, was recently toured by members of the national team, the "Vatreni."

During their visit, the players were briefed on the construction's progress and the future development plans for the complex. Once completed, it is expected to be one of the most modern sports centers in the region. The camp will span over 90,000 square meters and include four football pitches, a stadium with stands, the Croatian Football Federation's administrative headquarters, a medical center, and fitness and rehabilitation facilities.

Mayor Krešimir Ačkar expressed his pride in Velika Gorica becoming the home of Croatian football. He welcomed the national team, calling them "the pride of Croatia and the best ambassadors of our country in the world." Ačkar emphasized that the camp represents a long-term investment in the development of Croatian sports, aiming to nurture future generations of top athletes and continue the nation's successful football legacy.

This facility marks a significant milestone, providing a permanent base for the national teams after years of using various locations for training and gatherings. The project signifies a new chapter for Croatian sports, connecting the current generation of medal-winning players with a vision for future success.
