Croatia Wins Six Golds at European Arm Wrestling Championships

Budapest recently hosted the European Arm Wrestling and Para Arm Wrestling Championships, a prestigious event that saw fierce competition among 1,200 athletes from 36 nations. The Croatian delegation, comprising 32 representatives, showcased exceptional skill and determination, bringing home a remarkable nine medals, including six golds. This outstanding achievement solidifies Croatia's position as a dominant force in the sport. Rino Mašić, already recognized as Croatia's best athlete in non-Olympic sports for 2023 and 2024, continued his winning streak by clinching the European title on his left arm in the under-110 kg category, also securing a bronze on his right. In para arm wrestling, Ani Jelenić made history by winning her first European championship titles on both her left and right arms in the under-55 kg wheelchair category. Domagoj Cvitković, a multiple European and world champion and Croatia's best parasport athlete in 2025, added two more golds to his collection in the under-100 kg category. Luka Drokan also contributed to the gold medal tally, winning the standing category (70 kg) on his right arm. The bronze medals were secured by Rudi Antolić (standing, 80 kg, right arm) and Ines Fibinger (standing, 65 kg, left arm). These victories are a testament to the dedication and talent of Croatian athletes, bringing pride to the nation and highlighting the growing strength of arm wrestling in Croatia.
