Marko Šapit, a commentator for Croatian national television (HRT), has strongly refuted claims that he and his colleagues exhibited bias favoring Bosnia and Herzegovina during World Cup broadcasts. Rendulić suggested that supporting neighboring countries is a natural inclination. "The answer is very simple – they are our neighbors. Who else should we root for? It's absurd that we are even discussing this," he commented.
