Croatian fans harass influencer in Cyprus; she confronts them

Influencer Christina Karapetyan shared a distressing encounter on the streets of Limassol, Cyprus, where she was subjected to verbal harassment by a group of Croatian football fans. In a video posted on social media, Karapetyan detailed how the men made offensive comments about her clothing, implying she was a prostitute.

Look how I am dressed. Top, cap, shorts and sneakers. It's summer, it's 32 degrees and it's very hot outside. I don't think I look like someone who should be told on the street: 'How much?' But look at the behavior of these people, football fans. Where are they from? They are from Croatia.

Karapetyan, who was wearing a top, cap, shorts, and sneakers in the 32-degree Celsius heat, questioned why her attire would warrant such remarks. Instead of ignoring the group, she approached them to seek an explanation. The video shows her confronting the men, who responded aggressively. A plastic cup was reportedly thrown at her during the exchange.

I'm pretty sure that if any of them have or will one day have a daughter or sister and if some stranger approaches her on the street and shouts 'how much,' they would immediately go to him and ask him what the problem is.

Visibly upset, Karapetyan spoke out against the double standards she believes some men apply to women. She questioned why a woman's clothing choice would give anyone the right to insult or shame her, especially during hot summer weather. "This is heartbreaking," she concluded, highlighting the emotional impact of the incident.
