Croatian Teen Prižmić Faces Fonseca at Roland Garros, Djokovic Awaits

Dino Prižmić, a 20-year-old Croatian tennis player, is set to compete in the second round of Roland Garros on Wednesday. His opponent will be the 30th-seeded Brazilian, Joao Fonseca, who is one year younger. The match is scheduled as the third on Court 14, starting at 11 a.m. local time. This encounter will be the first time Prižmić and Fonseca have played against each other in their careers. Prižmić currently holds the 72nd position in the ATP rankings, while Fonseca is ranked 30th. The day's play on Court 14 will commence with a match between Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Argentina's Thiago Agustin Tirante. Following that, Ukrainian player Marta Kostjuk will play against American Katie Volynets before Prižmić and Fonseca take the court. Should Prižmić defeat Fonseca, he could face Novak Djokovic in the third round. Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, recently played Prižmić in Rome two and a half weeks ago. Prižmić secured a three-set victory (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) on that occasion. Prior to that, Djokovic had defeated Prižmić in four sets at the Australian Open two years ago.
