CRTA warns of individuals falsely posing as organization's associates in New Belgrade

The election monitoring organization CRTA has issued a warning regarding individuals falsely representing themselves as its associates in the New Belgrade area. These individuals are reportedly going door-to-door, engaging residents and asking questions related to the upcoming elections.

CRTA has explicitly stated that these activities are fraudulent and that the organization is not involved in any such door-to-door campaigns anywhere in Serbia. They have urged citizens to report any instances where these individuals appear at their addresses. The organization emphasized that this is a case of false representation.

This is not the first time CRTA has had to address such deceptive practices. On July 21, the organization reported a similar situation in Novi Sad, where individuals were claiming to be CRTA associates and conducting research. CRTA at that time also clarified that they were not undertaking any field activities in Novi Sad or any other part of Serbia.

Citizens are reporting to us that individuals in New Belgrade are going from door to door, presenting themselves as associates of Crta and asking questions about the upcoming elections. This is false representation.

In a separate but related incident, representatives of the "Student in Every Village" campaign reported that three unknown men were going door-to-door in Blok 23, falsely identifying themselves as students and members of their campaign. Students involved in that initiative noted that they always carry official accreditations with their names and universities when conducting such activities, and they alerted the public to the false representation.

CRTA's warning highlights the importance of vigilance among citizens, particularly during election periods, to ensure the integrity of information gathering and to prevent potential manipulation or misinformation campaigns conducted under false pretenses.
