The Cruz Azul Cooperative has unanimously re-elected Víctor Manuel Velázquez Rangel as president of its Administrative Council, signaling strong support from its members for his continued leadership. The decision came during the General Ordinary Assembly of partners, who reaffirmed their backing for a new phase of stability, growth, and institutional strengthening.

Velázquez Rangel's previous five-year term was highlighted by a clear strategic vision, solid leadership, and effective execution, according to the cooperative's statement. The organization reported substantial progress in operational growth, financial consolidation, industrial expansion, and job creation, positioning itself as a robust and competitive cooperative group within Mexico.

Key performance indicators underscore this success. The cooperative concluded 2025 with a 9% increase in production compared to 2024, attributed to infrastructure modernization and administrative efficiency. Furthermore, direct employment saw a significant 25% surge, translating to 1,300 new direct jobs generated between August 2025 and May 2026, driven by industrial expansion and infrastructure investments.

Notable achievements include the recovery of the Hidalgo plant through a successful legal process, the integration of a new mill in Oaxaca, and the opening of a plant in Campeche. These developments are projected to boost production by an estimated 17% by the end of the current year.
