Crystal Palace signs Anan Khalaili after Inter Milan move collapses

Crystal Palace has secured the signing of Anan Khalaili from Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, adding the Israel winger to their squad. This transfer comes after a proposed move to Italian giants Inter Milan fell through weeks prior.

The 21-year-old Khalaili, primarily a right-sided player, has agreed to a five-year deal with the Premier League club, pending international clearance. British media reports indicate the transfer fee is around 24.5 million euros ($28 million).

Inter Milan's president, Giuseppe Marotta, had previously explained that Khalaili did not receive the necessary medical clearance to join the Italian club. He cited Italy's strict health regulations for players, which involve decisions made by an independent body, not solely by the club's medical staff.

Khalaili began his career at his hometown club, Maccabi Haifa, before moving to Union Saint-Gilloise in 2024. He has represented Israel 16 times. His arrival at Crystal Palace marks their fifth acquisition of the summer transfer window, following earlier signings like Óscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
