Čukarica municipality approves plan for panoramic balloon on Ada Ciganlija

The municipality of Čukarica has approved a decision to install a panoramic balloon on Ada Ciganlija, a popular recreational area in Belgrade. Robert Đukić, director of the "Ada Ciganlija" company, announced that the balloon will be a temporary facility situated behind "Kamenograd," near the vehicle entrance ramp.

Operations are anticipated to commence in the autumn of this year. The project encompasses the extension of existing tree lines and the creation of new green spaces. Significant attention has been paid to protecting bird populations, particularly the cormorant, which congregates on Ada Ciganlija during winter months.

Đukić assured that the balloon will not operate during periods identified for bird migration. The project is being undertaken in collaboration with the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia, which has granted approval for the panoramic balloon's installation.

Funding for the panoramic balloon project is provided by the company "Belgrade Waterfront." Consequently, the investment will not incur any costs for the citizens of Belgrade, according to a statement from the Public Utility Company "Ada Ciganlija."
