Cyber HUFS Hosts Meeting for International Students Balancing Work and Study

Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) recently hosted a meeting for its international students who are juggling work and academic pursuits in South Korea. The event, held on July 25 at the university's Cyber Center, provided a platform for students to communicate their experiences and needs, fostering better adaptation to life and studies in the country.

President Moon Hui-chang and Dean Won Jong-min of the Global Education Center, along with Professor Cho Min-seong of the Vietnam and Indonesia Studies department, met with students from various nationalities, including China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Japan. The discussion focused on gathering direct feedback regarding the difficulties and requests faced by students currently employed while pursuing their education. Notably, some students humorously cited the 'hot weather' as a significant daily challenge, alongside career and visa issues.

He acknowledged the difficulty of their situation but emphasized the significant personal growth and achievement that comes with perseverance. He encouraged students to reach out to the university with any challenges they face, whether academic or related to their work and adjustment to Korean society, assuring them of the university's commitment to providing comprehensive support.

Cyber HUFS plans to enhance its support systems for international students, including strengthening counseling and lifestyle assistance programs. Based on the feedback received during the meeting, the university aims to develop practical measures to aid students in their professional and social integration in Korea, ensuring they can successfully complete their academic programs. The university is also currently accepting applications for the 2026 academic year's second semester.
