Czech deputy prime minister visits LIG D&A facility to discuss air-defense cooperation

Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Jaromír Zůna visited LIG Defense & Aerospace’s Pangyo House in Seongnam to examine South Korean air-defense technology and discuss possible future cooperation.

LIG D&A said Zůna made the visit on the 7th during his trip to South Korea for the Seoul Defense Dialogue. The meeting focused on the Czech Republic’s project to strengthen its defense capabilities, with air-defense modernization identified as a major priority.

The company introduced the Czech delegation to key systems, including the L-SAM long-range surface-to-air missile and counter-drone systems. LIG D&A also explained its system-integration technology for building layered air defenses that can respond from low to high altitudes.

The company said it could provide air-defense solutions tailored to the Czech security environment. LIG D&A chief executive Shin Ik-hyun attended the meeting, where both sides discussed expanding defense-industry cooperation.
