Czechs back nuclear power and energy self-sufficiency, poll finds

Czechs are showing strong support for nuclear power as part of the country’s energy future, according to an Ipsos survey.

Nearly three-quarters of respondents backed the construction of new nuclear facilities and the continued operation of existing power plants.

At the same time, 72% said the ideal energy mix would combine nuclear energy with renewable sources. The findings point to support for a mixed energy system rather than reliance on renewables alone.
