Dado Topić releases poetry book 'For Which Life Should I Be Born' marking 60-year career

Veteran Croatian rock musician Dado Topić is celebrating six decades in the music industry with the release of his poetry collection, 'Za koji život treba da se rodim' (For Which Life Should I Be Born). The book compiles 60 of his most significant lyrical works, chosen to represent the milestones of his extensive career.

Published by Pegaz, the collection showcases lyrics that have defined Topić's journey as one of the region's most prominent rock artists. The publication also features a special inclusion: a song written by young author Nikola Jovanović from Kruševac, dedicated to Topić. This addition is intended as a symbol of rock 'n' roll's enduring spirit and its transmission to new generations.

The book's biographical text was penned by Stanko Ferić, with editing by long-time manager Ilija Jovanović, and a preface by Goran Živanović. The collection was first presented at the Godinjske zvjezdane noći festival in Montenegro and is expected to be available throughout the region. Topić expressed his gratitude to everyone who has been part of his musical path, emphasizing that 'Rock 'n' roll endures.'

The premiere edition of the book is finally before the public. The book contains 60 selected songs that have marked my life and career. At my request, a song by the young author Nikola Jovanović from Kruševac, dedicated to me, is also included, as a sign that rock 'n' roll is still being born and preserved in new generations.
