Daewoo E&C Invites Employees' Children to Experience Parents' Workplaces

Daewoo Engineering & Construction recently held its "2026 Daewoo E&C Dream Tree Invitation Event," an annual program designed to let employees' children experience their parents' workplaces firsthand during the summer vacation.

This year marked the 20th iteration of the event, which began in 2004. It primarily targets fourth to sixth graders and prioritizes children of employees working on domestic and international construction sites who may have difficulty spending time with family due to their demanding schedules. A total of 80 children participated in the two-day event, which commenced on August 6.

During the event, the young participants visited Daewoo E&C's headquarters in Euljiro, Seoul. They received explanations about their parents' company and professions, and explored key aspects of the construction industry. Following this, they moved to the Summit Gallery for a docent tour, experiencing Daewoo E&C's residential products and architectural culture. The program also included mini-Olympics, recreational activities, and a talent show held at the Daewoo E&C HR Development Center in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.

One participating student, Lee Ah-hyun, expressed her newfound understanding: "I only knew about Prugio and Summit when thinking about my dad's workplace, but I learned that Daewoo E&C undertakes large projects like buildings, roads, and plants not only in Korea but also overseas." She added, "My dad seems even cooler now, and I think I can explain well to my friends what kind of company Daewoo E&C is."

A Daewoo E&C representative stated, "We organized this event during the summer vacation to allow employees' children to experience their parents' workplaces up close and spend meaningful time with their families." The company hopes the event provided a fun way for children to learn about the company and the construction industry, creating cherished memories for the families involved.
