Danish Accountants and Bookkeepers Unite in New Industry Association

The Danish accounting and bookkeeping sectors are consolidating with the merger of two prominent professional organizations: Foreningen Danske Revisorer and Ceredea. The newly formed "Brancheforeningen Regnskab & Revision" (Industry Association for Accounting & Auditing) aims to create a more robust platform for its members.

This unification brings together certified public accountants, other auditors, accounting consultants, and bookkeepers under one banner. According to SMVdanmark, which announced the merger, the new association will be the largest in Denmark based on the number of member companies. This scale is expected to enhance its capacity for professional development, improve member services, and amplify its political influence.

Carsten Hedegaard Fohlmann, the newly elected chairman of the "Brancheforeningen Regnskab & Revision," expressed optimism about the merger. "We gain a stronger common platform for professional development, member service, and political advocacy," he stated. "Our ambition remains the same: to stay close to our members and make a concrete difference in their daily lives."
