Danish Club OB Aims for Championship Playoff Spot

Danish football club OB is setting its sights high for the upcoming Superliga season, aiming to compete in the championship playoff round. After securing an eighth-place finish and staying clear of relegation last season, the club believes it is time to push for a spot among the top teams. Sports director Troels Bech stated that the club's journey continues forward, and following last season's consolidation in the Superliga, they now aspire to play in the championship series. Bech sees an opportunity to build upon the progress made last season. OB players are set to return to training soon under head coach Alexander Zorniger, who also led the team last season. Bech emphasized that continuity is a significant part of the foundation OB is building upon. He mentioned intensive work on the team's culture and substantial investments, expressing confidence that the fruits of recent years' labor will continue to grow. OB will begin the new season on July 24th with an away match against Viborg.
