Danish Handball Coach Nikolaj Jacobsen Divorces

Nikolaj Jacobsen, the celebrated coach of the Danish men's national handball team, has divorced his wife, Lenette Jacobsen, over the summer. The couple, who had been together for over 25 years and married in 1999, share three children: Freja, Linus, and Sille.

Jacobsen has achieved remarkable success as the national coach, leading Denmark to four consecutive World Championship gold medals. His tenure also includes an Olympic gold medal in 2024 and a European Championship title in early 2026. His coaching prowess has cemented Denmark's status as a dominant force in international handball.

In recognition of his achievements, Jacobsen received the Minister for Culture's Sports Prize in June. The award highlighted his exceptional leadership and his role in creating historic results that have made the Danish men's national team the best in the world.
