Danish Man Arrested After Witnesses Report Church Break-in; Scissors and Iron Cross Stolen

Vigilant witnesses played a crucial role in the swift apprehension of a suspect in a church burglary in Vejle, Denmark. Two individuals observed and heard suspicious activity at St. Nicolai Church late Monday night, prompting them to alert the police just minutes before midnight.

Responding officers, aided by a police dog, searched the vicinity but did not immediately locate a suspect. However, the detailed description provided by the witnesses proved invaluable. Within an hour of the initial report, a patrol spotted a man matching the description and subsequently arrested him. The 29-year-old man, residing in Hedensted Municipality, was found to be in possession of several items police believe were stolen from the church, notably seven pairs of scissors and an iron cross.
