Danjuma hosts grand traditional wedding for daughter in Lagos

A grand traditional wedding ceremony was held for Saraya Danjuma, daughter of former Chief of Army Staff Theophilus Danjuma, and her partner Bawa Salka, at the family residence on Banana Island, Lagos.

The celebration commenced with traditional northern rites performed inside the family living room, formally uniting the couple. The bride was adorned in an elaborate traditional outfit, complemented by a striking headpiece, while the groom wore a white ensemble with a colorful cap. Following these rites, the festivities moved to a specially decorated hall within the residence, adorned with large portraits of the couple, creating an atmosphere of elegance and excitement.

The event attracted a distinguished gathering of Nigeria's political, military, and business elites, with heightened security measures in place around the exclusive waterfront estate. This was followed by a solemnization ceremony and a grand reception held in a purpose-built marquee, featuring modern cinematic lighting and immersive digital displays.

Daisy Danjuma, the bride's mother, played a central role, warmly receiving guests and interacting with dignitaries throughout the occasion. The evening's entertainment was provided by gospel saxophonist Beejay Sax and the Loud Urban Choir, enhancing the celebratory mood.

Among the prominent guests were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and his wife, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, businessman Femi Otedola, and Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire Gilbert Chagoury. The guest list also included numerous former governors, ministers, banking and corporate leaders, and other notable figures from various sectors.
