Dar Arrives in Manila to Attend ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Manila to represent Pakistan at the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) ministerial meeting. His presence signifies Pakistan's engagement with key regional players on matters of political and security importance.

The ARF ministerial meeting convenes foreign ministers and delegates from 27 member states, alongside the ASEAN Secretary General. The forum serves as a crucial platform for dialogue on the political and security challenges confronting the Asia-Pacific region. Discussions are expected to focus on promoting peace and stability across the area.

Dar's itinerary includes participation in the main ARF plenary meeting. Additionally, he is set to engage in bilateral meetings with several counterparts on the sidelines of the main event. These side meetings offer opportunities for Pakistan to discuss specific issues and strengthen diplomatic ties with individual nations. Upon his arrival, Dar was welcomed by Elmer G. Cato, Assistant Secretary at the Philippines' Department of Foreign Affairs, and Pakistan's Ambassador to the Philippines, Asima Rabbani, among other officials.
