Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, known as Davido, has gifted fellow singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, professionally known as Mayorkun, a Tesla Cybertruck. Davido revealed the generous present on his Instagram Story on Sunday, sharing a photo of the luxury electric vehicle with a message expressing his affection for his former signee.

"My gift to you. I love you #iammayorkun," Davido wrote, instructing an associate to arrange delivery for the following day. While the exact cost of the gift was not disclosed, the vehicle is a Tesla Cybertruck. This all-electric pickup is recognized for its distinctive, futuristic stainless steel design. In Nigeria, however, the price of such a luxury vehicle is considerably higher due to import duties, shipping costs, and other associated expenses. Estimates suggest that brand-new units could cost between ₦200 million and ₦340 million. Mayorkun was initially signed to Davido's record label, Davido Music Worldwide, in 2016. He later launched his independent career in 2021, but he and Davido have maintained a cordial relationship, frequently expressing mutual respect and support publicly.
