Debris Dumping Dispute in Eskişehir Ends in Chase, Two Injured

Tensions flared in Eskişehir's Sevinç neighborhood when a dispute over illegal dumping turned violent. The incident began when individuals allegedly dumped construction debris, leading to a confrontation with local residents.

According to reports, the occupants of a truck, identified as Y.B. and R.M., allegedly insulted residents who protested their actions. As the truck attempted to flee, residents M.S., M.V., M.Ş., and M.Ö. pursued them in their car.

The chase continued from the gendarmerie's jurisdiction onto the Eskişehir ring road, ending at an Ankara checkpoint. The situation escalated when the individuals in the truck sought refuge with police officers. A scuffle ensued between the parties at the checkpoint, resulting in injuries to two people. The injured were taken to Eskişehir Şehir Hospital for treatment, while the four individuals involved in the chase were taken to a police station for processing. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
