Debutante Aarón Palacio Claims Sole Ear at Pamplona Bullfight Amidst Disappointing Bulls

The San Fermín bullfight in Pamplona on Tuesday was largely a disappointment, marred by a lack of spirit and strength from the Fuente Ymbro bulls. The animals, despite their imposing horns, showed little willingness to engage with the matadors, making artistic display nearly impossible.

Veteran bullfighter Daniel Luque managed to extract a few passes from the first bull, but the crowd remained largely silent. Víctor Hernández also struggled with his bull, which, after an initial show of spirit, quickly tired and retreated to the barriers.

Aarón Palacio, the youngest matador, entered the ring with determination, hoping to make his mark in his debut year. He greeted his first bull with elaborate passes but the animal offered little fight. He later received the event's only ear for his efforts with the final bull, a gesture seen by some as a consolation prize for both the matador and the subdued audience.
