Lily Hsu, the second daughter of Taiwanese celebrity Dee Hsu (Xiao S), has publicly declared her mother as her ultimate role model, calling her the "GIANT" of the entertainment industry. Lily praised Dee Hsu for her boundless capabilities and her unwavering commitment to embracing new challenges throughout her career.

Speaking at the opening event for a new store by the renowned eyewear brand GENTLE MONSTER in Taichung, Lily elaborated on her admiration. She highlighted her mother's courage in exploring diverse fields, including hosting, acting, and magazine shoots, while consistently pushing her own boundaries. "Because my mother is omnipotent, she has tried everything from acting, hosting, to magazine shoots, and she is still constantly challenging herself. She is definitely the giant in my heart," Lily stated, underscoring their close mother-daughter bond.

The event also featured actor Austin Lin and singer Karencici. Lin shared that his "giant" is South Korean director and screenwriter Lee Chang-dong, whose works he deeply admires for their powerful storytelling. Karencici named her long-time collaborator KVN, a music producer and director, as her "giant," crediting him for supporting her through her musical journey.

All three attendees also discussed their personal styles and approaches to eyewear. Lily mentioned coordinating her glasses with different occasions and moods, preferring thick black frames for days without makeup. Austin Lin, a self-proclaimed fan of GENTLE MONSTER, noted the brand's fashionable designs and how he uses sunglasses to elevate his outfits, even formal ones.
