Deepmala Dhakal crowned Miss Nepal 2026

Deepmala Dhakal has been crowned Miss Nepal 2026, winning the Miss Nepal World title at a grand finale held on Saturday at The Plaza in Pulchowk, Lalitpur.

During the event, Arya Nishaant was awarded the Miss Nepal International title, and Kashis Subba was named Miss Nepal Cosmo. Miss Cosmo Yolina Lindquist was among the judges for this year's pageant, organized by The Hidden Treasure.

Dhakal, who also holds the Miss Nepal Hong Kong International 2026 title, brings a diverse background to her new role. Professionally, she works as an investment strategist at the globally recognized firm BlackRock. Her accomplishments extend beyond the corporate world; she is a black belt taekwondo athlete, a runway model, an international event host, and a marathon runner.

Her leadership experience includes being the youngest-ever elected member in the history of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). Dhakal also serves as a goodwill ambassador for Nepal Cancer Hospital. She has expressed a strong commitment to leveraging the Miss World platform to elevate her cancer-awareness campaign to an international level.

Notably, Dhakal's connection to the pageant runs in the family, as her mother participated in the first-ever Miss Nepal pageant held in 1994.
