Democratic socialist: This is the last alternative before we resort to violence

In Kenosha, Wisconsin, Robert Guerrero, a representative for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), expressed a stark view on the current political climate. He stated that electing socialist politicians is the final recourse before violence becomes an option.

Guerrero, responsible for DSA political signs in eastern Wisconsin, believes that if socialist politicians are not elected to various levels of government, democracy in the United States is in peril. He criticized Donald Trump's party for actions such as restricting voting rights and targeting immigrants, asserting that they have undermined Congress and the principle of checks and balances.

"This is the peaceful way to act. The alternative is violent," Guerrero stated, clarifying that he doesn't necessarily mean a full-scale civil war. Instead, he suggested violence could be directed at a select group of decision-makers and their financial backers. He even cited the case of Luigi Mangione, who is currently on trial for the murder of insurance executive Brian Thompson, as a potentially exemplary act, questioning the morality of killing such individuals given the perceived disregard for human life by corporate leaders.

With the US midterm elections approaching on November 3, Democrats have an opportunity to regain control of the House and Senate. This could allow them to initiate investigations into Trump and impede the White House's agenda. However, a growing number of young voters in major cities are reportedly dissatisfied with the Democratic Party's perceived missteps in the 2024 election.
