Denizli's women meet this time in Acıpayam

The "We Travel, We Learn, We Empower Together" project, initiated by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, is actively engaging women from rural neighborhoods across the region.

Coordinated by the Youth and Sports Services Department, the initiative hosts 100 women each day, drawn from two different districts. The program aims to enhance social inclusion and strengthen civic awareness among residents. Following previous tours in Çivril and Kale districts, the project recently focused on Acıpayam.

During their visit to Acıpayam, women explored the district's historical and tourist attractions. The itinerary included the Keloğlan Cave, the Dodurgalar Martyrs' Monument, and the historic Yazır Mosque (Ömer Ağa Mosque). After a lunch break at Uçarı Pond, participants ventured into the Acıpayam Canyon to admire its natural beauty.

Nilgün Çavuşoğlu, wife of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu, joined the women at Uçarı Pond. She engaged in conversations with the participants, including wives of village heads and women village heads themselves. The gathering fostered a sense of unity and highlighted the significant role of women in social life.

Participants expressed their gratitude for the project, describing the experiences as valuable and morale-boosting. They appreciated the opportunity to discover new places and connect with fellow residents, thanking the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and Mayor Çavuşoğlu for organizing such a meaningful initiative.
