Deportes Antofagasta defeats Temuco 3-1 in Chilean Ascenso League

Deportes Antofagasta returned to winning ways with a decisive 3-1 victory against a struggling Temuco in the Chilean Ascenso League. The match, held at the Estadio "Calvo y Bascuñán," saw the home team dominate after Temuco's early setback.

Temuco's challenge began just two minutes into the game when Miguel Sanhueza received a red card for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity. Diego Rojas capitalized on the resulting free kick, scoring the opening goal for Deportes Antofagasta in the third minute. Rojas extended the lead in the 30th minute with a well-placed shot from outside the area, securing his brace.

In the second half, Matías Gallegos further solidified Deportes Antofagasta's advantage in the 70th minute with a goal that appeared to catch the Temuco goalkeeper, Yerko Urra, off guard. Camilo Núñez managed to pull one back for Temuco from the penalty spot in the 80th minute, setting the final score at 3-1.
