Desperate plea from the family of Gorutta Jones, the beloved "100% Lucha" character, after his death

The family of Sergio Aldo Carelli, popularly known as Gorutta Jones from the Argentine wrestling show "100% Lucha," is facing financial hardship following his death at the age of 52. They have issued a desperate plea for donations to cover funeral expenses.

Vicente Viloni, a fellow wrestler and friend, confirmed Carelli's passing and shared the family's request for help on social media. He posted a heartfelt message expressing his grief and urging fans and friends to contribute. Viloni also shared details for financial contributions, specifying an alias for donations in the name of Facundo Carelli.

Carelli's health had been a cause for concern in the past month, with fellow "100% Lucha" participants rallying to support him. Viloni had previously appealed for prayers and blood donors, noting that Carelli was fighting "his most difficult battle." Reports indicate that Carelli had suffered a severe sciatic nerve injury, which significantly impacted his mobility.

Gorutta Jones gained fame for his distinctive green, black, and yellow mask and his use of a hockey stick in the ring. He became one of the show's most popular characters, eventually winning the championship and receiving the prestigious Cinturón de Campeón de Campeones and the Bastón Luxor. His passing, along with that of fellow wrestler Pablo Más Albert (Teniente Murphy), has brought sad attention back to the "100% Lucha" cast nearly 16 years after the show ended.
