Dhofar Opens New Tourism Attractions: Atin Square and Shaat Viewpoint

Dhofar Governorate is enhancing its tourism offerings with the opening of two new premier destinations: Atin Square and Shaat Viewpoint. These sites are now accessible to visitors as part of the governorate's expanded tourism and entertainment program for the ongoing Khareef season.

The initiative aims to elevate the visitor experience through upgraded recreational facilities and integrated infrastructure. Atin Square features newly developed public spaces with innovative entertainment, family-friendly attractions, and modern amenities that blend contemporary design with Oman's cultural heritage. This development complements the redevelopment of the Al Haffa waterfront, creating vibrant leisure spots.

Meanwhile, Shaat Viewpoint, located in Rakhyut Wilayat, provides breathtaking panoramic views of Dhofar's dramatic cliffs and coastline. Visitors can enjoy dedicated viewing platforms, walking trails, and photography opportunities amidst the lush green mountains characteristic of the Khareef season.

These developments are supported by significant improvements to Dhofar's transport infrastructure, including expanded road networks connecting mountains, springs, beaches, and tourist landmarks. This year's Khareef season also includes 125 international and local events, encompassing festivals, performances, and family entertainment.
