He acknowledged the fans' disappointment, which mirrored the team's own, but declared, "I don't abandon." He promised to "keep fighting for everything that comes" without giving up.

Earlier, in a post-match interview, Di María had spoken of the difficulty of the loss, stating "my dream was different" and that he needed to "think and see what I want to continue doing." He also reflected on the team's performance, noting they struggled to replicate their home form against Corinthians and failed to convert their chances.
