Diddy’s prison release date moved forward

Sean “Diddy” Combs is now scheduled to leave prison on Feb. 5, 2028, several months earlier than previously expected, according to U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons data.

Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month sentence at the federal FCI Fort Dix prison in New Jersey. He was transferred there after being convicted last year on two charges connected to arranging transportation for prostitution. His trial in federal court in Manhattan drew widespread public attention.

The former Bad Boy Records founder was acquitted of more serious charges involving sex trafficking and racketeering. Prosecutors accused him of forcing women to take part in sexual encounters he called “freak-offs.” His lawyers have appealed the convictions.

Combs’ release date has changed several times. It was initially expected in June 2028, but the latest figures indicate that he could be released four months earlier. The date changed again last month amid reports that he had been involved in a prison altercation and was allegedly placed in solitary confinement. Media reports have also said he is taking part in an addiction-treatment program while serving his sentence. Numerous civil cases remain pending, and Combs denies the allegations against him.
