Boneta, who received the accolades during the Tribeca Film Festival premiere in New York, shared his excitement upon returning to Mexico City. He described Pacino's words as "incredible" and a dream come true, emphasizing his pride as a Mexican to be part of such a production.

The role of the Cuban leader is described by Boneta as the most significant and rewarding challenge of his career. He admitted to feeling "panicked" when he first secured the part but dedicated himself to extensive preparation, working with over five coaches to deliver his best performance.

"Killing Castro," directed by Eif Rivera, is based on true events from September 1960. Boneta's dedication to authentically portraying the Cuban leader, who died in 2016, highlights the depth of his commitment to the role.
