Despite Luna's impactful performance in the 2025 Gold Cup, where he scored two crucial goals that eliminated Guatemala in the semifinals, his inclusion in the World Cup squad is reportedly not a certainty. The New York Times indicates that Pochettino does not currently envision Luna as part of his plans for the tournament, which will be co-hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
