Diesel price set to exceed 80 Lira per liter in Turkey

Diesel fuel prices in Turkey are poised for a substantial increase, with sector sources indicating a rise of 2.66 Turkish Lira per liter starting tomorrow. This hike is attributed to a combination of persistent oil price volatility, the depreciation of the Turkish Lira, and escalating geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran.

Following the price adjustment, diesel is expected to surpass the 80 Lira mark in numerous cities across the country. Projections suggest that after the increase, the price per liter will reach approximately 79.87 Lira in Istanbul, 80.98 Lira in Ankara, and 81.26 Lira in Izmir. In the eastern regions of Turkey, diesel prices are anticipated to climb to an average of 82.72 Lira.
