Digital almanac to connect Bulgarian scientists abroad

A new digital almanac is being developed to create a network of Bulgarian scientists based at prominent universities around the world. The initiative aims to bridge geographical distances and foster a sense of community among these expatriate academics, connecting them with each other and potentially with institutions in Bulgaria.

The project was showcased at an event held at Sofia University, where two Bulgarian women teaching in California, USA, met and connected. This encounter exemplifies the almanac's goal: to facilitate such interactions and strengthen the ties of Bulgarian scholars working in diverse international academic environments.

By cataloging the expertise and affiliations of Bulgarian scientists abroad, the almanac intends to serve as a valuable resource. It could pave the way for future collaborations, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of research insights, ultimately benefiting both the individual scientists and the broader Bulgarian academic landscape.
