Dinamo Zagreb coach Mario Kovačević asserted that his team rightfully secured a place in the next round of Champions League qualifiers, despite a challenging 3-2 extra-time victory over Swiss champions Thun. Kovačević emphasized that Dinamo's comeback win was deserved, showcasing the team's resilience.

Addressing Thun's grievances regarding the officiating, Kovačević stated, "Thun is now angry because they lost, but I didn't officiate the match. That's what VAR is for." He suggested that any team would be upset after a loss but stressed that the outcome was fair. Kovačević acknowledged Thun's quality and the strength of the Swiss league, admitting that Dinamo did not react well at times but ultimately demonstrated character.
